James Cavanaught: I was imprisoned aboard the Vortex Rikers. He was designated Prisoner 853. Cavanaugh was sentenced to be executed, but his body was saved from the collision of the ship; although with him dying or temporarily losing consciousness.
When Prisoner 849 begins to explore the ship, the player can activate the programmed computer to send electricity to his body, thus ending the execution that the guards had initiated.

Jonas Gershwin: he was imprisoned aboard the Vortex Rikers for little more than half a year. Like some of the other prisoners, he had a diary to record his thoughts. He often observed that there were cockroaches in his food and wondered how they got to the ship. He also hated the prisoner in cell 4A, since he believed that she was looking at him in a strange way.

Wisnewski tried to reach the structure at the top of Gala's Peak, however, after almost falling twice from the precarious walkway leading to the fort that he abandoned, he chose to wait in his place and try to cross the catwalk again later. His body partially covered in snow in a cave, most likely died of hypothermia or was killed by mercenaries.

K. Divad was a member of the crew aboard the UMS Chantilly, a UMS ship that was sent on a rescue mission to find UMS Vortex Rikers crashed. However, the ship had the same fate as the latter mentioned, crashing into a mountain with only two members of its crew that survived, this one of them.

S. Brown was a human survivor on the planet Na Pali and most likely a member of the crew aboard the UMS Prometheus. He died basically because the Brutes among others, massacred him to death.

N. Vos: was a member of the crew aboard the Vortex Rikers. After the ship crashed into the planet Na Pali managed to escape the ship with a couple of crew members. The crew tried to send a distress signal after the accident without success. However, they received information from the ISV-Kran (which was another ship lost in the area about 3 months earlier) and thought they needed to gain control of the main Skaarj ship to escape the planet. They set up a small camp in a nearby abandoned house in Nali, since the Vortex Rikers helmet was too unstable. The members of the camp were arrested every night by the Minute Brutus.

P. v. Heel: he was a survivor of the Vortex Rikers accident. He traveled through the NyLeve Falls in an attempt to find a nearby ship to escape the planet. At some point during his travels, he found a blanket. He was able to kill him with his Automag, but not without suffering a lot of injuries. However, he regained some of his health by eating a Nali healing fruit and tried to continue his journey. Heel managed to survive a mining bunker, but died once outside, near another Nali healing fruit. He was probably trying to heal his wounds when another Manta or a Lesser Brute attacked him.

Tatiana Zimna: was a Medical Chief on board the ISV-Kran. Having survived the crash of the spacecraft, they and their crewmates formed a small rescue party with the intention of searching for Kira Argmanov, who was kidnapped by a Skaarj search party near Sunspire. Following their trail, they arrived at the Bluff Eversmoking monastery, where they were probably ambushed while they rested near the entrance doors to the monastery.

Sergei Dubrov: he was a security officer on board ISV-Kran. together with the other surviving members (Tatiana Zimna being one of them) of the accident formed a small rescue group to look for Kira Argmanov. They followed the Skaarj hunting group that kidnapped Kira in the Bluff Eversmoking monastery, where they died in front of the cliff entrance door, probably being ambushed while they rested.

Kira Argmanov: She was a member of the crew of the ISV-Kran ship that crashed on the planet Na Pali, and was the lover of Nicolas, another member of the crew. Kira was captured near the Sunspire tower by a Skaarj hunting party and was then taken to the prison under the monastery at Bluff Eversmoking. A getaway, Nali realized she was being abused by the prison director shortly after her arrival at the prison and helped her escape from her cell. Nicolas and several members of the ISV-Kran crew tried to follow their kidnappers; however, they perished on the road and none of them went further than the doors of the monastery.
